We are looking for an experienced DevOps (Development and Operations) professional to join our growing organization. In this position, you will manage infrastructure projects and processes. Keen attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a solid knowledge base are essential.

Situated within the IT department this role leverages an understanding of both technical systems engineering and enhanced communications with team members at all levels across the organization. It requires working with teammates within various departments to develop, configure, manage and maintain systems integrations across the company. From creating and implementing system software, to analyzing data, to streamlining processes, the DevOps Engineer increases productivity in the workplace by leveraging technology and automations.

• Responsible for the reliable operations of the company’s administration of computer systems, servers and network infrastructure.
• Identify and implement security best practices that align with client project needs and security audits conducted by third parties, as part of an ongoing risk management strategy.
• Ensures that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently and identifies areas where workflows can be enhanced or streamlined.
• Monitor metrics, logging and system performance and develop ways to improve.
• Provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on systems architecture solutions and operational needs to meet company expansion.
• Effectively manage projects as necessary while lending continuous support to the team
• Experienced working directly on cloud-based solutions, like Microsoft Azure, VMware virtualization and other third-party providers to build and test automation tools for infrastructure provisioning.
• Responsible for building and maintaining tools, solutions and microservices associated with deployment and our operations platform, ensuring that all meet our standards and reduce errors.
• Document and design various processes; update existing processes.
• A solid familiarity with web hosting best practices for a secure environment from traditional HTML in a Microsoft Windows IIS latest environment to Linux based LAMP deployments.
• Provide best practices and recommendations to web development secure code deployments.
• Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
• Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT and general staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure.

• Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role.
• Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management.
• Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery.
• Ability to create scripts in programing languages used in Windows Server environments
• Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms (Both Mac and PC).

Communication and Education

• CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Excellent communication skills.
• BS/BA in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) is a plus.
