  • Overview

    We are looking for a System Administrator to maintain, upgrade and manage our software, hardware and networks. Resourcefulness is a necessary skill in this role. You should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. It is essential that you should also have the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams, staff; both in small and larger settings.  Your goal will be to ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently and that you can identify areas where workflows can be enhanced or streamlines to meet and exceed company goals.



    • Install and configure software and hardware
    • Manage network servers and technology tools
    • Set up accounts and servers
    • Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
    • Troubleshoot issues and outages
    • Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
    • Upgrade systems with new releases and models
    • Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
    • Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies
    • Working with 3rd party to help troubleshoot issues.

    Should have Familiarity with the following:

    • With VMware 6.5, Veeam Backup for Hyper-V and VMware, understanding of all version of Microsoft Office, Exchange 2010 and 2016
    • Management of Barracuda Spam Appliance
    • Kaspersky Anti-Virus End Point Protection
    • Cisco Meraki switch environment
    • DNS/DHCP configuration as well as cloud based web hosting for Windows and Linux environments. This includes tracking, purchase and deployment of SSL certificates for client needs.


    • Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
    • Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
    • Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
    • Ability to create scripts in programing languages used in Windows Server environments
    • Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms (Both Mac and PC)
    • Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
    • Excellent communication skills
    • BS/BA in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is a plus
