Overview

JPL is seeking a Digital Cinematographer to join our award winning Media Production team. In this role, you will provide creative and technical services in the production of digital imagery on a wide variety of subject matter. You will work independently at times, but also be a key contributor to the Media Production Department. Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with team members in the creative, technical, and logistics planning of projects.
  • Serves as production crew lead for large and small national accounts.
  • Interfaces with top client executives in the execution phase of production.
  • Works independently on certain projects to acquire and rough-cut footage.
  • Crews in various capacities on our live event teams.
  • Organizes, maintains, and repairs production equipment and vehicles.
  • Researches, tests, refines, and assists in implementing tools, processes, and procedures that will enable us to be more creative, efficient, and better able to enhance the client experience.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Video and Film Production, Communications, Media Production, or related field and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in video or film production.
  • Resume and creative portfolio demonstrating applicable skills and experiences.
  • Must be organized, detail oriented, assertive, self-starter who can prioritize tasks and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Have excellent oral communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively and creatively in a team oriented environment.
  • Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 50lbs.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to pass the Medical Examiners Certificate in accordance with FMCSR 49 CFR 391.41-391.49, once hired.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule requiring long hours, overnight stays and distant travel, sometimes for extended periods of time, and working on weekends and holidays when necessary.
