Overview

The Agency Marketing Manager will lead, manage and execute the agency’s strategic marketing and public relations efforts, focused on the growth of JPL. The successful candidate will partner with JPL leadership to align efforts with the agency’s business strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Leads, manages and executes JPL’s strategic marketing and public relations efforts, with a focus on agency growth and profitability.
  • Manages and oversees the JPL brand and associated standards and activation.
  • Works with VP, Client Solutions to develop the agency’s strategic marketing plan, in alignment with JPL’s business objectives.
  • Develops integrated communications programs focused on achieving JPL’s business objectives. The Agency Marketing Manager details the tactical elements of the program, leverages digital marketing and lead nurturing techniques, establishes clear metrics to measure program performance and develops a detailed tactical calendar and budget.
  • Writes creative briefs for JPL marketing initiatives.
  • Manages day-to-day execution of JPL’s strategic marketing program, working with internal team members, partners and trade stakeholders. This includes digital, PR, traditional and event-related marketing and business development outreach.
  • Has responsibility for management of marketing budget, measurement of ROI and ongoing optimization of our marketing programs. Presents progress and outcomes to JPL leadership and staff.
  • Leverages JPL’s marketing automation and CRM platform for lead generation and lead nurturing.
  • Plans and implements content marketing programs to generate and nurture leads. The Agency Marketing Manager builds the content calendar and program workflows and deploys and optimizes tactics through marketing automation and lead nurturing processes.
  • Leads and manages JPL’s marketing content development efforts, working with internal though leaders throughout the business.
  • Writes brand and marketing copy, and contributes to agency thought leadership.
  • Works with JPL PR team to plan, identify opportunities and execute strategic PR outreach.
  • Represents JPL at industry and trade events.
  • Optimizes JPL’s digital outreach, including web, social and paid channels.
  • Aligns JPL’s marketing and business development efforts to maximize results and outcomes.
  • Supports business development efforts with content, case studies, research and writing support as needed.
  • Conducts research and competitive analysis.


Qualifications

  • A degree in marketing, business, communications, public relations or related area of study.
  • A minimum of five years of strategic planning experience focused on building brands, marketing initiatives and/or creating integrated communications programs.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of digital marketing and analytics, social media, content marketing and lead nurturing techniques. 
  • Proficiency with CRM and marketing automation software.
  • Strong working knowledge of Google Analytics
  • A solid understanding of business and marketing fundamentals.
  • Excellent business and marketing writing skills; experience writing creative briefs, strategy documents, communications plans, and presentation talking points.
  • Strong verbal presentation skills; experience presenting to senior-level decision makers with an ability to win confidence and their business.
  • A working knowledge of agency/marketing firm business operations, policies and processes.
  • Proven ability to inspire creative teams with clear, insightful, actionable strategies and supporting rationale, and the ability to translate strategic detail into focused creative briefs.
  • A communications style and work style that engages the JPL team.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and digital technologies.
  • Strong organization and project management skills with the ability to set priorities and work on multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Must be a self-starter, able to analyze and solve problems and work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong negotiating and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to be diplomatic, assertive, articulate, persuasive, flexible, confident, competitive and creative; an enthusiastic team player who demonstrates professionalism and attention to detail in producing quality work.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance.
