Our Digital Content Writers are part copywriters, part creative storytellers, part social media managers, and part online trend trackers. They are focused on ideas and motivating readers to action within the digital space. They excel at writing copy that works across channels. Working closely with account strategy, digital marketing and UX, they create content for brand and marketing programs and projects. And they see it come to life in collaboration with a diverse creative team of designers and producers.

Responsibilities

  • Write insight-driven, strategic web content and online marketing copy for both B2B and B2C
  • Audit existing client content to make recommendations for content programs
  • Partner with a team of copywriters, designers, and producers to create work that delivers results
  • Work with digital marketing to optimize content based on analytics, and make recommendations to improve performance
  • Help develop information architecture and identify user pathways for websites, digital programs and campaigns
  • Help develop plans and calendars for content marketing and social media programs
  • Present content plans and content marketing services to new and prospective clients
  • Write content for online and offline media as needed, including web pages, video, social media, print, live events and other media
  • Help keep JPL up to date on the latest trends in content marketing, information architecture and social media

Qualifications

  • Outstanding communication, organizational and writing skills
  • Ability to articulate and communicate brand tone, voice and messaging
  • Experience with content marketing and automation programs, as well as content management systems
  • Research and interviewing skills
  • Ability to make content recommendations based on brand strategy and analytics
  • Experience with SEO copywriting and meta data
  • Willingness to learn new skills, approaches, applications and media
  • Degree in communications, writing, marketing, advertising, PR, English, journalism or related field
  • A portfolio of digital content work, including short- and long-form copy, video, and social media
  • Five years experience writing for brands, advertising, PR, marketing, blogs and/or social media programs; agency experience preferred but not necessary
